Malaysia’s Premium Visa Programme (PVIP): A Strategic Residency Pathway

Global mobility is reshaping how high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, and internationally active families plan long-term residence and investment strategies. In response, Malaysia introduced the Premium Visa Programme (PVIP) on 1 October 2022, a flagship residency-by-investment initiative.

PVIP offers a 20-year renewable residency with no minimum physical presence requirement, allowing successful applicants and their families to live, work, study, invest, and conduct business in Malaysia.

Philandure Consulting Group (PCG) supports applicants through the entire PVIP journey — from initial assessment to regulatory engagement and post-approval facilitation — ensuring clarity, compliance, and execution certainty.

Why Malaysia

Malaysia combines economic resilience, currency stability, institutional maturity, personal safety, and quality of life without excessive regulatory burdens.

Its economy has demonstrated consistent growth above 5%, inflation remains well-managed, and the Malaysian Ringgit has strengthened to around USD 1 : MYR 3.94 in recent years.

The country’s capital markets exceed RM 2 trillion in market capitalisation, reflecting liquidity and investor confidence, while continued foreign direct investment underscores Malaysia’s credibility as a long-term base.

• No minimum stay requirement
• Permission to live, work, invest, and study
• Family inclusion: spouse, children, parents, and one domestic helper
